Dr. Bonakdar Explains: Asian faces age differ from Caucasian faces. Asian faces lose bony mass and soft tissue in the center of the face namely loosing outward projection in the nose and mid cheek area. This 79-year-old Asian female demonstrates these differences. She has cheek volume loss but her jaw line and jaw angle have not aged much. I was able to recreate the cheek projection that was lost, making her look younger. Notice that natural upward projection of the smile line and lip corners that have occurred even though neither of these 2 areas were corrected.
