Dr. Bonakdar Explains: Not all wrinkles have the same depth. All wrinkles start out as collagen loss in the underlying skin. As this subsurface collagen loss progresses, so does the depth of the surface wrinkle. I’ll choose the appropriate filler to use for correction of wrinkles and folds based on their many characteristics. A filler that is too thin would not fill a deep wrinkle very well. Reversely, a robust thick filler would render bad results in thin skin with superficial lines. This patient was happy with her under the radar results with her long lasting filler.
