Dr. Bonakdar Explains: A lip flip is a great treatment for those that would like to subtly enhance the appearance of their upper lip. A neurotoxin, such as Botox, is injected to relax the muscle that controls the upper lip. Unlike lip fillers, which use hyaluronic acid to physically add volume to the lips, a lip flip works by enhancing the natural shape and contour of the lips. After this patient’s lip flip treatment, her lips appear fuller and cupid’s bow is more prominent.
