Dr. Bonakdar Explains: Ethnic skin is more prone to pigmentation as well as more prone to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation changes in hands of a novice laser operator. I am board certified from the American Board of Laser Surgery and specialize in challenging skin types using many different lasers and technologies. This patient’s skin appears brighter and clearer after her resurfacing series. She will continue her clinical skincare regimen and plans to maintain her results with yearly maintenance treatments upgrading to our newer lasers.
