Dr. Bonakdar Explains: This lovely patient suffers from multiple skin conditions namely hyperpigmentation from sun damage and hypopigmentation scars from acne. She was treated with IPL therapy as a first line no downtime option until her schedule allows for her to proceed with Tetra CO2 laser treatment. Although the hypopigmented areas are not affected by IPL therapy, her overall skin looks better and the hypopigmented lesions are less visible due to less contrast in the color of the surrounding skin.
